This instrument is known by many names. Most commonly it is referred to as a Jews Harp. Other terms used include Jaw Harp and Juice Harp.The Juice Harp is played by holding the instrument between the teeth and or lips. You then pluck the metal reed with your finger. This simple instrument gives you an amazing range of tones and pitches just by varying your mouth shape and degree of plucking. Many of us were first exposed to this instrument by the most famous of all Juice Harp Players, Snoopy! Snoopy even has his own signature model of Juice Harp.

This is my first jaw harp,so it took me a while to get the sound from it,but once I did,I really enjoyed it.Well worth the price.

when i first got this i looked up a how-to video on youtube--for the "complete instructions inside" were only a few incomplete sentences. i saw the person playing with ease and i couldn't manage to get one sound. later i picked it up again and after an hour was playing notes. i ain't a muscian so i can't validate the high-end musical accuracy of this, but i managed to figure this out and make correct noises and differentiate them with my lips and tongue. this obviously isn't for those who want something professional, but if you want to just get into the jew harp for some pocket change, i'd say this provides a lot of fun and cool sounds if you aren't a perfectionist or take yourself too seriously as a musician.

Ever since I was a child I have always dreamed of owning one of the fantastic musical instruments, imagine my surprice and delight when I stumbled upon this instument of the angels here on Amazon, as soon as I set eyes on it I knew that I had to have it.
br /I'm not Jewish and I think that harps are okay but not brilliant but this little beauty is bazoo and beezer.
br /During the weekends I like to get out my shiny Jews Harp and play it for family, friends and other visitors, they love it, they can't get enough of its heavenly sound and jaunty twangs. My favourite song to play on it is "The Camp Town Races" my second favourite is "The Skye Boat Song" and my third favourite which I like to play is Elvis 'The King' Presley's "In the Ghetto".
br /This Christmas I'm going to buy one for each family member and we can have a jam session.
br /At the price of $6 you can't go wrong with this little number! it's the business. With it's shiny gleam and cheerful pings and twangs the Jews Harp will keep you and your family entertained for hours!
br /I award the Jews Harp five stars and a WG Sinclair BIG double thumbs up!
